Terms of Service

01 Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to UniTix. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Myro Concept Creative Studio ("UniTix", "we", "us"). By accessing or using our website, mobile platform, or any UniTix service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use UniTix. We may update these Terms from time to time — if we do, we'll notify you by email and post the updated version here. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.

02 Eligibility

UniTix is designed for university students and is available to individuals who are at least 16 years of age. By using UniTix, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years old.
• You are currently enrolled at or affiliated with a Nigerian tertiary institution, or are attending an event hosted by one.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Nigerian law.
• You are not prohibited from using our services under any applicable law.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these criteria or who violates these Terms.

03 Your Account

To buy tickets, host events, or access certain features, you must create a UniTix account. When you do, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Keep your login credentials confidential — do not share your password with anyone.
• Notify us immediately at hello@unitix.ng if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

04 Tickets & Purchases

Buying tickets

When you purchase a ticket through UniTix, you are entering into a contract with the event host — not with UniTix. UniTix acts as a ticketing platform and payment facilitator. Your ticket entitles you to attend the specific event listed on it, subject to the event host's terms and conditions.

• Tickets are non-transferable unless the event host explicitly permits transfers.
• Your QR code is personal to you. Do not share screenshots of your QR code with others — duplicate use will be denied entry.
• UniTix is not responsible for events that are cancelled, postponed, or materially changed by the host. See our Refund Policy for details.
• Reselling tickets above face value (touting/scalping) is strictly prohibited on UniTix.

Ticket confirmation

Upon successful payment, your ticket and QR code will be delivered to your registered email address and will be accessible in your UniTix account. Allow up to 5 minutes for delivery. If you do not receive your ticket, contact us at hello@unitix.ng before the event.

05 Hosting Events

Students and campus organisations can create and sell tickets for events through UniTix. By hosting an event on our platform, you agree to the following responsibilities:

• All event information (date, time, venue, capacity, ticket price) must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You are solely responsible for organising and delivering the event as described.
• You must comply with all applicable Nigerian laws, university regulations, and venue requirements — including obtaining any necessary permits.
• You must honour all tickets sold through UniTix and provide a valid check-in process.
• If you need to cancel or significantly change an event, you must notify UniTix and your ticket holders immediately. See the Refund Policy for payout implications.
• You may not host events that promote illegal activity, discrimination, or that violate university codes of conduct.

07 Payments & Fees

All payments on UniTix are processed securely by Paystack. By making a payment on our platform, you also agree to Paystack's terms of service.

Service fees

• Attending free events: No charge.
• Hosting events: UniTix charges a 5% platform fee on each ticket sold. This is deducted automatically from your payout.
• Payment processing: Paystack's standard transaction fees apply and may appear separately.

Payouts to hosts

• Event hosts receive their payout (ticket revenue minus UniTix's 5% fee) after the event ends.
• Payouts are made to the bank account registered in your UniTix host profile.
• UniTix reserves the right to delay a payout if there is an unresolved dispute, refund request, or suspicion of fraudulent activity.

08 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use UniTix in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive. Specifically, you must not:

• Use the platform to commit fraud, impersonate others, or create false identities.
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to UniTix's systems or other users' accounts.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the platform without our written permission.
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass our ticket limits, pricing systems, or QR verification.
• Post false, misleading, or offensive event listings.
• Use UniTix to distribute spam, unsolicited marketing, or malicious links.
• Violate any applicable Nigerian law, including the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act 2015.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension, legal action, or both.

09 User Content

When you submit content to UniTix — such as event descriptions, images, or testimonials — you grant UniTix a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and promote that content on our platform and marketing materials.

You confirm that any content you submit is your own, does not infringe on third-party rights, and is not defamatory, obscene, or illegal. UniTix reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without notice.

10 Intellectual Property

All UniTix branding, logos, design, software, and content are the intellectual property of Myro Concept Creative Studio and are protected under Nigerian and international copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any UniTix materials without our prior written consent.

The UniTix name, logo, and the "UniTix" mark are trademarks of Myro Concept Creative Studio.

11 Limitation of Liability

UniTix is a platform that connects students with event hosts. We are not the organiser, operator, or insurer of any event listed on our platform. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:

• UniTix is not liable for the cancellation, postponement, or poor delivery of any event by a third-party host.
• UniTix is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage suffered at an event.
• UniTix's total liability to you in connection with our platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific ticket or service in question.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform at all times.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

12 Termination

You may stop using UniTix and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law.

Upon termination, your access to the platform ceases. Any pending payouts owed to you as a legitimate host will still be processed, minus any outstanding amounts owed to UniTix or affected ticket buyers.

13 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
