Determined to solve the problem himself, Marvelous started building UniTix from the ground up — designed specifically for the Nigerian student experience. Paystack for payments, WhatsApp-first sharing, QR check-in, and a clean event discovery feed. Built lean, built fast, built for campus life.
UniTix launches at its first Nigerian universities. Early events sell out fast. Word spreads through WhatsApp status and Twitter/X as students discover a ticketing experience actually built for them. Requests from other campuses start rolling in.
UniTix expands to campuses across Lagos, Ibadan, Ile-Ife, and Port Harcourt. The promoter program would soon launch. Growth accelerates purely through word of mouth.
UniTix now covers 50+ Nigerian universities, 100+ events hosted, and 12,000 registered students. Squad discounts, QR check-in, and real-time dashboards go live. Still one founder, still growing — and just getting started.
